Etherscan API V1 Will Be Fully Deprecated by 15th August, 2025

Over the past few months, we've extended deadlines and sent multiple reminders to give everyone more time to switch to Etherscan API V2.

API V1 will be fully deprecated by August 15, 2025. After that, all V1 requests will stop working.

If you're still using V1, this is your final call to switch.

How to Switch to API V2

API V2 has been live for some time now. It's faster, more scalable, and supports over 60 chain IDs, helping you build more efficiently across networks.

Follow these steps to switch:

  1. Create an Etherscan API key: Sign in or register for an Etherscan account, then head to the API Dashboard to create your API key.
  2. Start calling the V2 endpoints: Use the new base URL, add the chainid parameter, and keep the same query parameters as before.
  3. Query data from multiple chains: If needed, set up your code to loop through chainid values for each chain you want to query while using the same base URL and API key.

Need higher rate limits or access to Pro-only endpoints? Upgrade to API Pro and use promo code EV2APIMIGRATE for 15% off.

Thanks to everyone who has already made the switch. If you're still on V1, now's the time to transition, and we're here to help make it easy.
