Switch to Etherscan API V2 by May 31, 2025

Following the rollout of Etherscan API V2, we're unifying API accounts across all supported chains into a single Etherscan API account. This streamlined system simplifies your experience, offering seamless multichain access with a single Etherscan API key. Refer to our documentation and FAQ for more information.

To avoid service disruption, make sure to switch to API V2 by May 31, 2025. V1 API access will be disabled after this date.

1. What You Need to Do

If You Already Have an Etherscan API Account:
Good news! Your Etherscan API key already gives you access to V2 endpoints across 60+ chain IDs.

If You Don't Yet Have an Etherscan API Account:
Register an Account to start using your Etherscan API key for accessing V2 endpoints across 60+ chain IDs.

2. Why the Change?

We're making things simpler. You now get access to 60+ EVM-compatible chains with a single API key, just specify the chain ID. No more juggling multiple keys for different chains!
